Not all artwork is meant to be pleasant or beautiful. Art is often meant to provoke thought, to confront our insecurities, or to make political or social statements. I imagine you have seen artworks in previous sections that you didn't like, and perhaps you have even found some works shocking or distasteful. Art can be challenging, and we're not going to like it all, and that's okay. The important thing is that we can look past our personal taste and gut reactions to fully consider the relevance of the artwork before us.
